TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

10 Plus 3 Economics and Politics of ASEAN and China, Japan, and Korea

The pedagogical approach emphasizes the development of analytical rigor and global consciousness in students, focusing on the geopolitics and geo-economics of the 10+3 region. This framework encompasses the ten Southeast Asian nations—Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam—alongside China, Japan, and South Korea. The curriculum rigorously analyzes key trends across national, regional, and international dimensions, including shifting trade patterns, security frameworks, economic convergence efforts, and intercultural dynamics, thereby enabling learners to navigate the complexities of modern geopolitics and geoeconomics. Teaching is conceptualized as a balanced blend of structured guidance and dynamic engagement, grounded in empirical analysis and real-world relevance.
